PBEAT2025 Free Fibre Art Workshops
PBEAT2025 is excited to have Fiona Gavino as our inaugral "artist in residence". Fiona is a WA artist who explores the potential of using natural and repurposed materials to create innovative sculptures and installations. Fiona has recently exhibited at Sculpture by the Sea. Fiona will run free open community workshops demonstrating how she creates her amazing woven sculptures. You may contribute to her installation for PBEAT2025 during the workshop sessions 2-4pm on 15, 16 and 22 March 2025. Fiona will be assisted by the PBEAT2025 local emerging artist - Anna Francesca Seymour. The artist in residence and local emerging artist positions have been made possible by Central Coast Council's "Creative Art Central" program. Invitation to the Opening of PBEAT2025 - A Free Harmony Week Event Sunday 23 March 1pm.
All are invited to the Opening of the 4th Environmental Art Trail at the Pearl Beach Arboretum – @PBEAT2025. on Sunday 23 March from 1pm to 4pm. The event will also be a celebration of Harmony Week 2025 and will feature local live global music including some asian fusion pieces arranged by Andrew Alter and some celtic music by Phil and Lynne Rich. A highlight will be a special performance by the graduate dance students from NAISDA - Australia’s leading arts training organisation providing nationally accredited qualifications specifically for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people. The winning entries of PBEAT2025 will also be announced by our adjudicator Anne Flanagan, Life Governor, Art Gallery of NSW. Please RSVP to help us manage parking and catering HERE.

Under 16 & School PBEAT2025 EOIs still welcome!
EOIs for art installations inspired by the environment from artists (or groups of artists) by artists 16 and under and from school groups now close Monday 03 March 2025. The theme for PBEAT2025 is "#harmonythroughnature". The EOI form can be found HERE.
First Prize for 16 and under installations is $500 plus $500 to their nominated school. Highly commended work will recive $250 plus $250 to their nominated school. The best school entries in each category (years 4-6 and years 7-10) will each receive $500 to the school.
Come and see our new Sensory Garden
The Arboretum's new Sensory Garden is now mostly planted and open for viewing. A big thank you to everyone who donated toward the garden and to those who volunteered! Each bed has been planted to reflect one of the five senses: sight, smell, touch, taste and hearing. There is drip irrigation throughout. Next Arboretum working bee Sunday 16/03/2025
We meet at 9am at the Arbroetum cottage. The working bee is followed by a delicious morning tea at 11am followed by a meet and great with the PBEAT2025 Artist in Residence, Fiona Gavino. Opera in the Arboretum
Saturday 29 March 2025 3:00 - 5:00 PM. Spend and afternoon in a beautiful native bushland setting, featuring a world class line up of opera stars.This event is self-catering (BYO) – bring your picnic lunch, wine and chairs and sit back for a lovely afternoon.Opera in the Arboretum is an annual charity event organised by the Rotary Club of Woy Woy in association with the Central Coast Conservatorium of Music and other social and community groups on the Central Coast. Adult Painting Class in the Arboretum with Marijke Greenway Sunday 13 April 2025
Marijke Greenway is a well known Pearl Beach Artist with 40 years experince and many solo and group exhibitions under her belt. Marijke will lead a 3 hour adult painting workshop (maximum 20 people) in the Aboretum. Canvas and acrylic paints provided, but feel free to bring your own materials. Limited places! Pearl Beach Art Fair Easter Saturday
Save the Date! The Pearl Beach Artists will run an Art Fair in the Arbroetum on Easter Saturday 19 April 2025, 10am to 4pm. After a visit to the Pearl Beach Book Fair and refreshments in the Pearl Beach Hall, make your way to the Arboretum to sample the wonderful art, jewelry and craft produced in Pearl Beach. At the same time you can purchase lunch from the Two Turkeys a the Arboretum Cottage Cafe and view PBEAT2025!
