A big welcome to our new committee members Robyn McConichie (a botantist) and Gaby Porter (sculptor). We welcome the new skills and innovative thinking you bring to the Committee.

New Life Member Victoria Crawford
At the Arboretum 2024 AGM the former Arboretum president, Victoria Crawford, was made an honorary Life member of the Arboretum. Victoria joined the Arboretum in 1995 and the Arboretum Management Committee in 2014. Victoria became Treasurer in 2015 and President in 2019. She has remained an outstanding President for the last 6 years, during which time she has balanced her work with the Arboretum with challenging roles on the Pearl Beach Progress Association.
Victoria has outstanding skills in leadership and project management and financial management. She is always willing to listen and to give frank and fearless advice and propose innovative solutions to problems as they arise. A special thank you to Ian Crawford (also an Arboretum Life Member) and all the Crawford family for supporting Victoria in her Arboretum work.
Next Working Bee on Sunday 17 November 2024
The next Arboretum Working Bee will be on Sunday 17 November from 9am, followed by a delicious morning tea and a chin wag at 11am. All are welcome - you do not need to be a member.
PBEAT2025 EOI deadlines extended!
The next Pearl Beach Arboretum Environmental Art Trail (PBEAT) will be held in from Saturday 22 March until Sunday 27 April 2025. PBEAT provides a venue for artists to create inspiring temporary public art that promotes nature conservation, supports community identity, and increases cultural vibrancy on the NSW Central Coast. The theme for PBEAT2025 is "#harmony through nature". Schools, community groups and artists are now invited to propose installations inspired by the natural environment.
In addition to the usual great prizes for installations we also have funding for an Artist in Residence aqnd an Emerging Artist. You can read more about PBEAT2025 HERE.
EOIs for the Artist in Residence and Emerging Local Artist Programs now close Sunday 24 November 2024.
EOIs for all other art installations from individuals, groups, community organisations and schools close Monday 10 February 2025.
